The Venetian Pantry is a creative home for stories, objects and ideas at the intersection of food, design and storytelling. Founded by Martina Casonato and inspired by her Venetian roots and London life, it’s a space for cross-pollination between different creative practices.
La Collezione is Martina Casonato’s first homeware collection for The Venetian Pantry: a series of limited-edition objects created in collaboration with makers in Italy and the UK. Shaped by her Italian heritage, the collection celebrates natural materials — marble, brass, wood, ceramics and linens — crafted into pieces that balance function and beauty. From pestle & mortars and sculptural wooden spheres to ceramics, florals and brass napkin rings, each object is made in small batches, honouring artisanal skill and a strong sense of place.

Meet the makers
Emily Ayres
Design by NatureEmily Ayres launched Design by Nature in 2017, bringing a sculptor’s eye to floristry. Based in Stoke Newington, London, and with a Fine Art degree,
she translates her love of texture, form, and negative space into floral designs that feel more like immersive sculptures than traditional arrangements. Guided by the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, her work embraces imperfection and celebrates the raw, fading beauty of dried flowers, creating installations and bouquets that are both contemporary and timeless.
Antonella e Nicola Azzollini
8 e Mezzo8 e Mezzo is the sustainable marble design label of Marmi Azzollini, a respected Apulian stone specialist with six decades of heritage. The brand’s name—meaning “eight and a half”—comes from their signature 8.5 cm dimension, cleverly transforming leftover marble off-cuts into handcrafted luxury pieces. With a focus on ecological refinement and a zero-waste mentality, Otto e Mezzo transforms often-overlooked quarry remnants into elegant marble accents.
Marina Patarnello
MarnMarina is a self-taught ceramist and designer from Northern Italy, currently based in Amsterdam. Through her studio, Marn, she creates one-of-a-kind stoneware pieces and small collections of tableware and home décor. Each piece is crafted by hand, wheel-thrown or hand-built. Her ceramics reflect a love for clean aesthetics, tradition, and the joy of making objects for everyday life. All Marn pieces are made with stoneware clay and fired to the highest temperatures with food-safe glazes to ensure functionality and durability.
Cécile Dumetier
Atelier CeCécile Dumetier is a French potter and designer based in London. A member and teacher at Crown Works Pottery, she creates everyday ceramics that balance function and beauty, drawing inspiration from the shapes, colours, and textures encountered during her travels. Guided by a philosophy that embraces imperfection as an essential part of the creative process, she is also runs Studio Omelette, her design practice, where she continues to explore the dialogue between craft and design.

The wooden spheres of Bàle are crafted by an artisan based in Friuli, near the border with Slovenia. Working exclusively with storm-felled and broken trees collected from the surrounding woods, the maker shapes each piece by hand, allowing the natural forms and imperfections of the timber to guide the final object.
Each Bàle is one of a kind, carrying both the story of the landscape it came from and the quiet dedication of the hand that shaped it.
Sara Bellinato
NodoNodo is a jewellery label founded by Sara Bellinato, an Italian artist and maker based in North London. She creates modern, timeless pieces with responsibly sourced materials, designed as wearable objects for everyday life. Fascinated by the slow process of handcrafting, Sara’s work celebrates uniqueness and the beauty of imperfection. Her research explores texture and clean, simple shapes, inspired by nature and knots, with a deeply personal approach to craft.
